Pittsburgh PA Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer
Kristen and Dan faced an unexpected hurdle when their wedding day was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Prior to their original date, I had the pleasure of capturing their engagement session in the beautiful Frick Park and the charming Shady Side neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. At that time, the thought of delays was unimaginable. Amidst the uncertainty, Kristen and Dan exhibited incredible patience and grace as they adjusted their plans and rescheduled their big day.
Kristen got ready for the celebration at her parents' home, surrounded by her bridesmaids. The talented team at Sergio's Styles in Dormont, PA, ensured her hair and makeup were flawless. She chose a breathtaking wedding dress designed by Maggie Sottero, which she purchased from Bridal Beginning in Pittsburgh, PA. Floral arrangements were provided by Fragile Paradise of Washington PA.
As light rain gently fell, the bride shared a heartfelt "First Look" moment with her father in the backyard of her childhood home.
On To The Ceremony!
The beautiful ceremony was held at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, of Resurrection Parish in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. The honored officiant, Father Mark Eckman, who later became the Bishop of Pittsburgh, guided Kristen and Dan as they exchanged their heartfelt vows in front of their cherished family and friends.
Portraits and Celebrations!!!
Before heading to Phipps Conservatory for their elegant reception, we captured some stunning portraits with the bridal party at Mellon Institute, showcasing the unique charm of the iconic columns with just the bride and groom as well.
Upon arriving at Phipps, we seized the opportunity for a few extra moments to create delightful photos of the bridal party outside with some stylish umbrellas. As a dedicated Pittsburgh wedding photographer, I always aim to structure the timeline to provide a comfortable cushion for my couples, ensuring they feel relaxed on their special day. With this additional time, Kristen and Dan enjoyed an intimate session inside their breathtaking venue, creating beautiful memories together.
The reception was truly spectacular. Entertainment was provided by DJ Joel Lindsey. Catering was provided by Phipps, and the not only gorgeous, but beautiful wedding cake by Prantl's. We concluded the evening with one of my personal favorite captures: a romantic evening photo of Kristen and Dan at the entrance to Phipps, a timeless moment that perfectly encapsulates their love and joy!
Despite a few raindrops throughout the day, the atmosphere was nothing short of magical for Kristen and Dan. We were able to capture countless beautiful moments that truly reflect their love.
As we ventured outside for the final photos, I couldn’t help but admire the sky, remarking, "This is perfect!" I knew exactly the kind of shots I wanted to capture. As a wedding photographer servicing the Pittsburgh area, my role is to envision the perfect photograph before clicking the shutter.
It's important for couples to consider the timeline of their wedding day, especially when the ceremony and reception are held at separate venues. This is where your photographer's expertise in understanding the need for time dedicated to photographs can really shine.
Working with Kristen and Dan was an absolute delight, from their engagement session all the way to their stunning wedding. They truly were the perfect couple for a perfect wedding venue!
