Sydney and Causton reached out to me through my website, revealing that they were referred by their venue, The Gathering Place At Darlington Lake. They shared that their wedding was scheduled for the Saturday before Thanksgiving. That email eventually led to a phone call, and eventually an in-person meeting at a nearby Panera close to Ross Park Mall.
During our initial meeting, I discovered a delightful connection with Sydney. I mentioned a previous employer, and it turns out that my former coworker is her father! What a small world!
They also expressed interest in an engagement session, and it was a joy to work with Sydney and Causton on both their engagement and wedding photography. Our engagement session took place in February on a brisk afternoon along the north shore and Mt. Washington area of Pittsburgh.
Their wedding day in mid-November was simply wonderful. I will cherish the incredible moments captured from their day!
Having had the privilege of capturing numerous weddings at The Gathering Place At Darlington Lake, I fondly remember photographing the very first wedding there after the banquet facility opened. Each visit to TGP reveals new elements that enhance its allure, making it a breathtaking venue for nuptials!
With the early sunset in November, Sydney and Causton chose to have a first look, along with formal family and bridal party photos ahead of the ceremony.
After dinner, the evening was filled with joyful dancing and cherished celebrations of their love.
I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to photograph weddings at this venue, and reconnecting with the owners, Annie, Ed, and Jodie, who have become dear friends!
